Twin Toddlers Nearly Drown

A few weeks ago, on March, 6, 2014, Sunrise Police received a call from a frantic woman at 11:02 am about two toddlers in the pool of the apartment complex where she works.

A policeman and fireman arrived at 11:06 and pulled the two toddlers from the pool. That’s when the woman, Althea Bradford, realized the two children where her 2-year-old twins, Jada and Henry Roman.

The two toddlers were under the care of a resident while Bradford was at work and it is unknown how they ended up in the pool.

By the time they were rescued, Jada and Henry had been in the pool at least four minutes. After 3 minutes without oxygen, it is believed that significant brain damage can occur.

Tragically, Jada Roman passed away on March 11. Henry was still in critical condition at the time.
