Swim Vietnam is a charity based in Central Vietnam that offers free swimming and water safety lessons to children and trains adults as swimming teachers.
The charity was founded in 2008. Since then, over 6,500 children have been taught to swim. And over 120 adults have been trained as swimming teachers.
Their mission is to reduce the incidence of drowning in Vietnam. They plan to achieve this by providing high quality coaching to Vietnamese children. They want to give locals the required skills to teach swimming and water safety.
Swim Vietnam’s achievements include:
- Building a swimming pool in Hoi An
- Installing 2 above ground pools in Duy Xuyen district
