DAPT-2 Door Alarm

When it comes to children, additional safety measures need to be taken. Especially if you have a pool in your backyard. Drowning is the leading cause of unintentional death for children ages 1-4. A good way to prevent children from wandering into the backyard alone is to always lock and close the door securely. Unfortunately, situations arise when the door isn’t closed properly, or the child manages to unlock and open the door. The DAPT-2 Door Alarm  is perfect for situations like these.

The DAPT-2 Door Alarm sounds an alarm 7 seconds after the door is opened if the button to silence it isn’t closed. The alarm must be installed at least 54 inches off the floor, making it harder for young children to reach. If the button is pushed within 7 seconds, the alarm allows the door to remain open for 14 seconds before going off if the door isn’t closed in time.

Poolguard has been manufacturing pool alarms since 1982, and all their alarms comply with all building codes and are UL listed under UL 2017. Besides being made by a reliable company, the DAPT-2 is simple to operate, battery powered, and easy to install. Additionally, it resets automatically and has a low battery indicator.
