Black Algaetrine

Black Algae is one of the toughest algae to get rid of, anything that can help with that is great! Applied Biochemists’ Black Algaetrine for swimming pools was specifically designed to fight black algae. It’s safe for vinyl, plaster, colored, and fiberglass pools. It’s also safe to use your pool without waiting.

You need to use varying amounts of Black Algaetrine for different applications:

  • Visible Algae Growth – Use 12 oz. per 10,000 gal. Settled debris can be vacuumed.
  • Heavy Algae Growth – Vacuum, clean, and scrub walls. Then apply 12 oz. per 10,000 gal. of water. Vacuum to remove debris.
  • Maintenance Dose – 6 oz. per 10,000 gal. every 5-7 days.

Black Algaetrine is most effective when applied in the morning on warm, sunny days.
