Jerry Jones Owner of the Dallas Cowboys

Jerral Wayne Jones Sr, commonly known as Jerry Jones, was born on October 13, 1942 and is an accomplished American businessman. He was born in Los Angeles, California, and moved to North Little Rock, Arkansas, as a child. He was a star running back at North Little Rock High School and attended college at the University of Arkansas. There, he was also a co-captain of the 1964 National Championship football team and an all-Southwest Conference offensive lineman for Hall of Fame coach Frank Broyles, and a teammate of Jimmy Johnson. Jones is one of very few NFL owners who earned a significant level of success as a football player. He was hired as an executive vice president at Modern Security Life in Springfield, Missouri, after he graduated from college in 1965. After receiving his Masters degree in business in 1970, he began an oil and gas exploration business in Arkansas called Jones Oil and Land Lease, which still does natural resource prospecting.

On February 25, 1989, Jerry Jones purchased NFL’s Dallas Cowboys from H.R. “Bum” Bright for $140 million. He was also an inspiration for the character Baxter Cain in the 1998 film BASEketball, as well as appearing in a commercial for Diet Pepsi MAX and Papa John’s. Jones is married to Gene Jones and they have three children—Stephen, Charlotte, and Jerry, Jr. Stephen is the Cowboys’ chief operating officer/executive vice president/director of player personnel. Charlotte serves as the Cowboys’ executive vice president and chief brand officer. Jerry, Jr. is the Cowboys’ chief sales and marketing officer/vice president. Needless to say, the Dallas Cowboys are run by a family with Jerry Jones at the head and because of his polite and friendly nature, he often gets visits from the stars such as Lebron James, Kenny Chesney, Hulk Hogan, George Bush, and many, many more. The stadium is not only a home to the Jones family, but it is a home to all who come to see it.

Incredible Opener for the Dallas Cowboys

Kyle Pogue, CEO of, and I were lucky enough to get to go see the opening game at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, against the New York Giants. We made sure to get there early to park and get inside, and boy are we glad we did! The game kicked off with a bang, literally with fireworks around the stadium to get everyone—inside the stadium and outside the stadium—geared up for the game. It was definitely not your typical starting game either; there was a different feeling this year. No pressure. Just some great men ready to play some great football. Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys were incredibly friendly during their run through and Jones even stopped to shake some hands in the tunnel! There were also some famous faces in the crowd. Lebron James came through turning heads, followed by Hulk Hogan, who insisted on having Jones pose with him. The crowd was full of smiles from beginning to end, as the Cowboys took the win against the Giants with a final score of 36-31. Hopefully we see more great games this season and our Cowboys continue to leave us with a smile!

Natural Chemistry Purge

After the long winter season, it always feels like such a hassle to get your pool and spa up and running. You want to enjoy the beautiful water and the sun, but you don’t want to have to do the start up maintenance necessary to make your pool useable.

Natural Chemistry created a unique blend of enzymes that eliminate and permanently prevent non-living contaminant buildup. This SmartZyme technology binds to non-living organic contaminants and reduces them to smaller and smaller parts until they are oxidized by the sanitizer or reduced to water and air.

They have created a great product called Purge that actually purges or rids your pool of problem causing non-living organic build-up. It is the perfect product for getting your season started on the right foot and it cleans where you can’t!

SeaKlear 90 Day Algae Prevention and Remover

There is a new sheriff in town against the fight with algae. Its name is SeaKlear 90 Day Algae Prevention and Remover. This product is a Copper Based 90 Day algaecide that kills and prevents blue-green, green, yellow, and black algae from forming or existing. It is a great tool to use in your pool and spa because it will not leave unsightly stains nor will it cause your water to foam up. SeaKlear 90 Day Algae Prevention and Remover uses a 11.8% Copper Sulfate Pentahydrate formula to stop algae in its tracks and prevent new algae from forming. If you have severe algae, SeaKlear recommends that you use 32 oz. of the SeaKlear 90 Day Algae Prevention and Remover per 10,000 gallons of pool water. Otherwise only 16 oz. of the product every three months per 10,000 gallons.

To use simply add the product directly into the deep end of the pool in front of a water return, and make sure that you dilute the product in a bucket of water when you are adding it to a pool with a plaster finish. As with all chemicals, use it as the manufacturer specifies.
