Hayward Vari-Flo Multiport Valve SP0710X62

Hey, guys. It’s Austin, again, at PoguePoolSpa.com. Today, we’re looking at
Hayward’s Vari-Flo valve that’ll be used on multiple Hayward sand filters.
This is going to be model SP0710X62.

We’re just going to disassemble and reassemble it, and talk about it a
little bit. It’s going to be an 1½ inches, all the ports will be. It has a
total of 5 of them. We just have 6 screws that we need to take out to get
to the internals.

Once you take out the internals, you’ll see as it’s all connected. This is
what they call it the key valve; this is going to help rotate the valve.
It’s going to have a gasket at the top that needs to be lubricated. Then
attached to that, there’s going to be that stainless steel spring which
connects to the handles. When you’re pushing that down, it is going to
rotate, and that’s how the valve performs. Once you replace that, might as
well just buy it all as an assembly and you just drop it right in there.

We have the spider gasket; it’s going to be a 5-spoke gasket. There’s going
to be no need to lubricate or glue this gasket in. To reassemble, just make
sure that the ports line up, as well as your holes, and then you’re just
going to drop in your 6 screws.

That sums up the Hayward SP0710X62. We have it today at PoguePoolSpa.com

Polaris 360 Pool Cleaner Hose Nut

Polaris 360 pool cleaner hose nut 9-100-3109

The Polaris Hose Nut part number 9-100-3109 sometimes needs replacing when you have a bad O-ring inside the nut. Having a bad O-ring can cause the Polaris Hose Swivel to leak. When your hose swivels leak to much water, this will affect the water pressure going to your Polaris Cleaner causing it to run slow. It is always good to double check your hose when your pool cleaner is not running properly.

Polaris Pool Cleaner Hose Swivel D20

The Polaris Hose Swivel part number D20, has an inside diameter of .74”, outside of 1.187”, and an outside diameter of .7”.  The Polaris Hose Swivel is a very important part of a Pool Cleaner Hose, it allows the hose to twist and turn without tangling up. When you have a bad hose swivel you will lose water pressure going to your Pool Cleaner. The Pool Cleaner will start to lose pressure and run slower and not clean your pool as well. Make sure to always check your pool cleaner hose when your pool cleaner is acting up.
